You have to download torrents in order to play the game. Thanks for supporting my blog by signing up here. The most popular video game in history was just released earlier this year, GTA V. A few days afterwards, rumors about an illegal copy of the game being circulated online. With so many people downloading the torrent file with eager anticipation, security warnings popped up around the internet warning players not to download any versions of GTA5 before it is officially available on store shelves. If this were to be a spoof or a joke by one of the developers or a gamer who somehow managed to obtain the real CD version, then what's the difference from watching people play video games? In order for this to be a hoax, it would have to be an inside job. In that case, why fight against it? Why warn everyone about downloading torrents? The answer is that it really has been happening. In 2013, Brendan Eich was fired from his position as CEO of Mozilla after he became the CEO of rival company Yahoo. He donated $1 million back in 2008 to Proposition 8 which sought to ban same-sex marriage in California. This brings us to the fake leaking of the latest installment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.  The rumor mill is rife with speculation that this is just a publicity stunt that's been concocted by the developers and publishers in order to promote their newest installment at a time when most people are already looking forward to playing it. However, most gamers feel that this is actually happening so why not alert them so they can take precautions? In order for this fraud scheme to work, people would have to be tricked into believing that they will get an early copy of GTAV by downloading torrents and then there would have to be some kind of backup plan in place in case something goes wrong with those who actually downloaded and paid for the game. Effectively, consumers would need to hit two birds with one stone. First, they would need to download the game because they think that they'll get it for free. Next, they would need to pay for the game in order for this plan to be successful. What happens if someone who downloaded the torrent file gets arrested? Will he or she actually get into trouble even if he or she didn't know that it's an illegal copy of the game?  A lot of people are downloading copies of GTAV without even doing research about how genuine the site is. Some sites promise low prices but these are set up by scammers who want people to download illegal copies of the games.  With so many fake sites that are promising low prices, it's not surprising that a lot of people are downloading torrents even if they don't know how to use them. These torrent files really do contain the newest version of GTAV and even though they're not downloaded directly from the internet, this is just as good as downloading it legally. If the latest installment of GTAV was released early and illegally online, then normal users would be able to download and play it right away using their computer or any other device with access to the internet.  So far, there have been no reports on scammers figuring out a way to retrieve money from those who downloaded copies of the game despite warnings against such activity online. cfa1e77820
